Operations

Mark Meyer is Vice President of Operations for Sharyland Utilities. He is responsible for all Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Maintenance and Operations of the Sharyland grid assets. Additionally, he is responsible for the development and execution of Sharyland's capital budget.

Mark began his career with the Hunt family of companies in 2005, as a Program Director for Hunt Power and has served in various engineering, construction and project management roles, including the management of Sharyland's portion of the Competitive Renewable Energy Zone ("CREZ") transmission buildout in ERCOT. After completion of the CREZ projects, he assumed the role of Vice President – Major Projects and subsequently Vice President of Engineering & Construction Services where he was responsible for providing strategic direction for the utility's transmission and distribution engineering, design and construction operations.

His 30+ year career includes various engineering, construction and project management roles with EMCOR Facilities Services, Inc. (Norwalk, CT) and Johnson Controls, Inc. (Milwaukee, WI).

Mark is a 1988 graduate of the University of Southern Indiana with a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering. His professional affiliations include the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE), Conseil International des Grands Réseaux Electriques (CIGRE), American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), Project Management Institute (PMI) and the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE).
